Matthew Caws, lead singer and guitarist of Nada Surf recently moved to Cambridge in the UK. This is really near Stansted airport (which makes getting anywhere in Europe easy), so he thought it would be fun to grab his acoustic guitar, jump on a plane and play some shows by himself. Mostly because he'd never done it before, but also because it would give him a chance to play cities that the band had never played in.
His solo sets will consist of a few songs from Nada Surfs' new record that will be coming out early 2012, a couple of covers of current favorites, and plenty of older songs from the Nada Surf catalogue.
