Beim Hören der neuen Single „Zoo“ wird deutlich: Eins sind LEYYA keinesfalls und zwar berechenbar. Zeichnet sich doch mit „Zoo“ ab, dass sie auch „Pop“ beherrschen.

Auch wenn man das Duo bisher mit einem eher melancholischen und düsteren Sound assoziiert hat, sind LEYYA mit der neuen Single bunter geworden. Ein Hauch von Fern-Ost schwingt dabei genauso mit wie der Beat des Liverpool in den späten 60ern…

Und so bekommt auch der Refrain eine zweite Bedeutung, wenn Sophie Lindingers Stimme singt: „Don’t believe what they say about me […] Don’t give a shit, that they talk about me.“

LEYYA machen ihr Ding und hören nicht auf das Gerede rundherum. Und das klingt gut so.
